Standing work,
not occasions.
The Collective conducts four permanent programmes between convenings. They are the connective tissue of the membership — how the work gets done in the months between gatherings.
Innovation Labs
Three standing labs co-located with member firms.
Labs run for 18-month terms, co-directed by a member principal and a Secretariat fellow. Current labs: Tokyo (logistics-in-retreat), São Paulo (concessional architecture), Stockholm (wage-audit tooling). Output is published to the membership under seal; summaries appear in the Quarterly.
Enquire →Sustainability Council
The ratification body for the Collective’s environmental standards.
Meets four times annually. Composed of the Chairs of the Sustainability, Built-Environment, and Technology working groups, plus three rotating Governors. The Council authors every environmental brief the Collective publishes.
Enquire →Merchant Fellows
A two-year residency for principals under forty.
Nominated by Governors. Eight fellows are admitted per cohort. The programme pairs each fellow with a Founding-Circle mentor and a working-group secondment. MMXXVI cohort: announced 15 May.
Enquire →The Archive
The Collective’s open-access historical record.
Digitised continuously since MMXX. Twenty-three years of minutes, briefs, and correspondence — open to member firms without redaction, to accredited researchers with modest redaction, and to the public in summary form.
